Dear all,

I often hear of exciting conferences in the customer experience/care/orientation field and think, "Hey, I'd like to attend." The problem is - I always hear too late! Working in theater and comedy, I always need to plan trips months in advance to avoid clashing with gigs, so six weeks notice of a conference won't cut it.

Do any of you have a long-term view of upcoming conferences worldwide (maybe a website)?
Do any of you have special recommendations or experiences of "must see" meetings?

I've had the same need/desire to have an industry focused, cross association, event repository....This site, with the mass collaboration functionality (anyone can add an event) is an attempt to solve that problem. Many of our members are involved with organizations that organize customer experience/care events; I encourage them to post here.

Often, when I get an email about such an event, I reply and suggest they post it on this site. With time and a little team work, spreading the work about the site, and encouraging others to post their events here, we should be able to get there relatively quickly.

This is an interesting question for an ex-reference librarian. I haven't been able to locate a good source. There are a number of sites wanting contributions to build a customer service conference directory, but they have almost no content yet. One is Google, see http://www.google.com/Top/Business/Customer_Service/Conferences/

http://www.allconferences.com/
has a lot of conferences. You can search for "Customer service", but they don't have them grouped under that so you get conferences in lots of different fields which just happen to have customer service as one theme.
